We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring that food preparation areas are hygienic and well-stocked. Duties
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
- Restocking supplies and organising storage areas to facilitate efficient kitchen operations.
- Supporting the team during busy service periods by helping with serving and other hospitality duties as required.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and hospitality services.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and cleaning. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking hands-on experience within a professional kitchen environment, with opportunities for growth within the hospitality sector.
Pay: £12.90-£13.50 per hour
