The role of the Electrical Preparation Operative is to manufacture a variety of electrical parts in line build schedule and works order requirement. Operatives are responsible for preparing parts for assembly, using correct equipment to manufacture to wiring looms, consumer boards, microwaves and other electrical parts. Ensuring parts are produced to the highest quality and in a timely manner to meet the production schedule. Operatives are accountable for following the company QMS procedure. Communicate issues to Supervisor and keep a clean, safe working environment.
Typical Job Functions & Duties
- Manufacture “in house” electrical parts in line with build schedule requirements
- Work only to works orders / request forms
- Produce parts to the correct specification in line with technical drawings and works orders
- Report quality issues to supervisor and technical office
- Complete re-work if required
- Ensure completed parts are stored correctly
- Ensure completed works orders are checked and passed to stores
- Monitor “RAW” stock levels and re-order as required
- Responsible for the completion of all relevant paperwork
- Transfer skills to other team members
- Carry out instructions from Supervisors and team leaders
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Carry out duties in line with Health and Safety requirements and make supervisor aware of potential Health & Safety issues
- Log on and off correct SFDC operation in line with company policy
- Adhere to relevant ISO / QMS process
