The Role
As part of Idaso’s growth in providing services to the UK traffic survey and data collection market, a number of exciting opportunities have arisen in our Fieldwork Operations Team. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with either experience in the traffic survey industry or for an exceptional candidate with transferable skills and would like to develop new skills, to join our team of Survey Technicians as our business continues to grow. Full training will be provided to the successful candidates.
This is a full time position, based out of our Leeds office, reporting to the Project Manager with regular travel across the country installing, maintaining, and removing temporary survey data equipment. The successful candidates will join our Fieldwork Operations team and will be provided with a works van plus all the tools and equipment required to fulfil their role. Please be aware that this role is mainly evening/ night work and involves a high number of hours driving to the various sites in a shift, and may sometimes include overnight hotel stays.

Responsibilities Will Include:
- Set up and install various traffic survey equipment, particularly cameras, at designated survey points across the UK in line with health and safety requirements, regulatory compliance, and company quality standards
- Ensure all equipment is securely mounted and positioned to capture accurate data.
- Escalating equipment or site issues, adhering to site reporting processes
- All data media returned to administration team in full, and on time
- Daily loading and/or unloading of equipment at depot
- Weekly vehicle checks submitted
- Supporting with ad-hoc requirements for the Fieldwork Operations Team, including warehousing and kit repair
- Regularly inspect, maintain, and clean on-site equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
- Full valid UK licence
- Familiarity with traffic survey equipment, especially camera systems would be beneficial
- Proficiency in basic computer software and tools.
- Good communication and organisational skills, recognising the need for attention to detail.
- Ability to follow company procedures, recognise health and safety concerns, accept instructions, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on the go.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders
- Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions.
