Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join the team at a charming small guest house in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a cosy hospitality setting while developing your cleaning and hospitality skills.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms to the highest standards
- Change bed linen, towels, and replenish amenities as required
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, and furnishings are dust-free and spotless
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to management
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and storing towels
- Support other team members during busy periods or special events as needed
- Guest interaction when needed. Whether a guest requires an early check-in, or friendly interaction when they depart. Being a small opperation, it is a multi-level role.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules when needed.
This role is mostly on Sunday and Monday mornings, 10am starting time. With additional shifts when needed or available.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
