We’re looking for a Supply Chain Procurement Planner to join our growing food manufacturing business and take ownership of take ownership of purchasing, stock forecasting and material availability across the business.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving environment where you’ll play a key part in making sure production always has the materials it needs to keep moving. From forecasting stock requirements and managing supplier relationships to building practical planning tools and improving visibility across stock, this role sits right at the centre of operations.
We’re a growing family-run business, so we need someone proactive, organised and comfortable working without a big corporate ERP system. A lot of what we do is Excel and practical problem-solving, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys building structure, spotting issues early and taking ownership.

The Role
You’ll manage purchasing and stock planning activities across the business, helping ensure raw materials and packaging are always available in line with production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage purchasing of raw materials and packaging
· Forecast stock requirements based on production plans and trends
· Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels
· Build and maintain stock trackers and planning spreadsheets
· Raise and manage purchase orders
· Manage supplier communication and delivery schedules
· Work closely with Production and Planning teams to ensure smooth supply flow
· Identify stock risks, shortages or supply issues early
· Support sourcing for new product launches where needed
· Help build and improve the systems and structure behind how we manage stock and purchasing as the business grows
· Support traceability exercises and food safety requirements where required
About You
You are:
· Organised and naturally proactive
· Comfortable working in a fast-moving SME environment
· Confident using Excel and managing manual planning processes
· Someone who enjoys problem-solving and improving processes
· Comfortable communicating with suppliers and handling challenges professionally
· Able to manage multiple priorities at once
· Hands-on, practical and detail-focused
Experience
· Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or a production environment preferred
· Previous experience in Buying, Procurement, Stock Control or Supply Chain roles
· Experience with planning, forecasting or supplier management advantageous
