Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative / Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse by accurately picking, packing, and managing stock to ensure timely dispatch of orders. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, possess mechanical knowledge, and be comfortable with heavy lifting and operating warehouse equipment. Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) and manual processes
- Handle materials with care, ensuring correct quantities and product integrity during picking and packing
- Stock shelves efficiently, maintaining organisation and accessibility of products
- Conduct quality control checks to verify items meet company standards before dispatch
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific equipment use
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and mechanical systems is advantageous
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 20kg or more) as required by the role
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail for order accuracy and quality control
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
