Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Evening Housekeeper to join our team on a part-time basis, providing essential cleaning and maintenance support during the maternity cover period. This role offers a opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming Care Home environment. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and experience in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across diverse settings.
We work from a 4 week rolling rota so it's always clear well in advance when shifts are. The evening shifts run from 7pm - 10pm and 14 can be expected over a 4 week (28 day) period before rolling over again, working out as an average of 10.5 hours per week.
Weekends are paid at an additional £2.00 per hour, and the shift pattern will consist of 2 working weekends out of 4.
Duties
- Perform thorough commercial cleaning of designated areas, including kitchen, common spaces, restrooms, and other facilities
- Maintain high standards of hygiene by sanitising surfaces, floors, and fixtures regularly
- Conduct tasks such as emptying bins, replenishing supplies, and deep cleaning as scheduled
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all residents, staff and visitors
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans during quieter evening hours
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used efficiently and stored properly
Pay: £12.75 per hour
