We are currently recruiting a Level 2 QC Scientist role in our Chemistry laboratory.
The salary for this role is £27,000 per annum.
The team work on a flexitime arrangement (37.5 hours per week) with a requirement to routinely have flexibility to cover hours between 6.00am and 10.00pm (rota will be communicated at least one week in advance and this will be discussed in more detail at interview)

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a candidate with a relevant degree in a Science related subject, who has gained practical lab experience either in industry or as part of a placement.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience with Raw Material (Pharmacopoeia) testing. Experience of working in a GMP environment would be a real advantage.
The role
- Performing routine analytical testing on raw and source materials following Pharmacopoeia
- Preparing reagents and solutions for use in analysis
- Preparing and testing samples in support of in-process monitoring for production
- Performing routine analytical testing of finished products for the purposes of release in accordance with the Standard Analytical Methods and the weekly test schedule
- Performing any additional analysis in support of development projects or as part of investigations for Out of Specification investigation
- Ensuring analysis is performed in according with SOPs, Good Quality Control Lab Practice (GQCLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Acting as a checker for test results and approvals in LIMS software
Laboratory support
- Supporting and training colleagues in analytical methods as required
- Assisting with laboratory equipment validation
- Assisting with investigation of OOS and deviations, after undertaking the appropriate training
- Appropriately raising and reporting any potential or confirmed OOS and deviations and notify the relevant departments
- Performing and reporting assay and product trending
- To undertake the drafting, completion and checking of SAMs, risk assessments or SOPs as and when required, which aid in the training of personnel in the laboratory
The interview process
Successful candidates will be invited to an initial video call via Teams and then those who are suitable will be invited to a 2nd stage interview onsite, this will involve a tour of the facility.
You will be required to undertake a practical lab-based assessment exercise as part of the 2nd stage interview.
