We're looking for a Sous Chef (or ambitious Senior Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef) to join our team at The Sherborne Arms in Northleach.
We are a busy, food-led, 100-cover pub in the heart of The Cotswolds, serving honest, seasonal British pub food. Think game, offal, proper stocks and sauces, local suppliers and generous plates. We believe in cooking excellent food without unnecessary fuss - no micro herbs, no tweezers, and definitely no "mucking around".

You'll be joining a stable, well supported business with active owners who remain involved in the operation and an Executive Chef who works across the group supporting our kitchens and teams.
The Pub
The Sherborne Arms is a well established destination pub in the centre of Northleach with an excellent local reputation and a loyal customer base.
Our menus change regularly, with seasonal updates throughout the year and weekly specials that allow the kitchen team to showcase great produce when it's at its best.

The Role
Working closely with Head Chef Sam, you'll help lead the day to day running of the kitchen and play a key role in maintaining our standards and developing the team.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
- Leading service and maintaining quality during busy periods
- Training, developing and motivating junior team members
- Assisting with menu development and weekly specials
- Managing stock, ordering and food margins
- Ensuring excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards
- Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
- Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen culture

Pay: Up to £43,000.00 per year
