Starting Point Community Learning Partnership is a community-based social enterprise helping people across Stockport and Greater Manchester develop the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to thrive in a digital world.

About the Role
We're looking for someone who genuinely loves working face to face with people. This is a varied, community-based role delivering engaging digital inclusion sessions in libraries, community venues, GP practices, housing schemes and partner organisations. This is not a desk based role.
We're looking for someone with high energy, enthusiasm and a passion for helping others. You'll represent Starting Point professionally, build trusted relationships and continually look for ways to improve the quality and reach of our services.
Working Pattern
We are happy to negotiate a suitable start date for the right candidate. The role is available from October but we can wait until January to start if required. 21 hours per week. We recognise the importance of flexible working and are happy to agree a working pattern that meets both the needs of the successful applicant and the organisation. Some flexibility will occasionally be required, with reasonable notice, to support service delivery.
The role requires regular travel to Bolton (typically one day each week), alongside delivery across Stockport and new locations throughout Greater Manchester as our services continue to grow.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. Travel expenses for journeys outside the Stockport boundary will be reimbursed in line with our expenses policy.

Person Specification
Essential
- Recognised teaching or training qualification (or can evidence working towards).
- Experience delivering engaging learning to adults or community groups.
- A genuine passion for working face to face with people.
- High energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with people from all backgrounds.
- Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently across multiple community venues.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Greater Manchester, including Bolton.
Desirable
- Experience in digital inclusion, adult education or community learning.
- Experience working with NHS, primary care, housing or voluntary sector partners.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience supporting people experiencing digital exclusion.
