Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and hygiene
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Support the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, and equipment
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Deliver catering orders to clients as required, maintaining punctuality and professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas throughout shifts
- Handle guest enquiries with excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and replenishment of supplies
- Support team members in delivering exceptional guest services during events
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience as a delivery driver is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on courteous guest interaction
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends or evenings if required
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Experience in hotel or barista roles is beneficial but not mandatory
- Organised with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
