This is an exciting opportunity for an administrator to join the Clinical Liaison Services team within the University of Plymouth’s Faculty of Health.
About the role
The Clinical Liaison Services team is responsible for the comprehensive management and administration of the Medical and Dental School's clinical placements and teaching activities. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, well organised individual to join our team as an Administrator (Dental - Clinical). This role is key to supporting clinical dental teaching activities for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Dental Therapy and Hygiene (DTH) programmes.
You will be responsible for:

The administration of Clinical Supervisor pay claims, contractual arrangements, training records, and work schedules
- Planning and allocation of Clinical Supervisors across five clinical teaching facilities
- Co-ordinating Specialist Visits (clinical placements), including planning, timetabling, quality assurance, and the distribution of information to students and providers.
In addition, you will arrange and attend the annual Clinical Supervisor Away Day and organise the six-weekly Dental Clinical Quality Standards Committee (DCQSC) meetings.
You will be part of a team of five staff within the Dental team and will work closely with clinic staff, clinical academics, and colleagues across our clinical partner organisations.
The post will be located at our North Campus in the John Bull Building, Plymouth Science Park, Derriford, Plymouth, PL6 8BU. You will be primarily based in the John Bull Building; however, we do offer informal hybrid working arrangements.

For this role, you will need to be on site 3 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.
We’re currently unable to sponsor this role under the Skilled Worker visa route. However, we welcome applicants who already have the right to work in the UK, including those on visa routes we can accept (e.g. Graduate visas).

A highly organised, accurate, and efficient administrator with excellent communication and IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Meticulous attention to detail, confidence in handling large volumes of data, and the ability to implement and improve processes
- A strong understanding of teamwork
- A commitment to delivering a professional, customer-focused service to Clinical Supervisors and partner organisations are also essential.
