Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Repair Body Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles following accidents or wear and tear, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in vehicle body repairs while contributing to high-quality service delivery.
Duties
- Have proven experience in all aspects of vehicle body repair, including panel beating, filler work, vehicle preparation, and paint respraying, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Repair, replace, and refurbish vehicle panels, frames, and other body components using specialised tools and techniques
- Assess damage to vehicles and determine the most effective repair methods
- Use hand tools such as hammers, dollies, and pry bars to manipulate metalwork accurately
- Operate power tools including grinders, drills, and pneumatic tools to prepare surfaces and carry out repairs
- Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts and panels safely to facilitate repairs
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, priming, and masking areas as required
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle body repair or similar trades
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for bodywork tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during repair processes
- Prior experience working in a vehicle repair workshop is NEEDED
- Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks
- Good physical fitness with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks confidently
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; however, the ability to move vehicles within the workshop is necessary

Pay: £24,420.00-£45,000.00 per year
