We are seeking a motivated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team at Bearwardcote Hall, located in Etwall, Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and caring environment, ensuring our residents enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming home.
Main Responsibilities
· Manage and supervise the housekeeping team, ensuring all areas of the care home are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
· Develop cleaning schedules and assign duties to team members.
· Monitor stock levels and order housekeeping supplies as needed.
· Liaise with other departments to ensure residents’ needs are met efficiently.
· Conduct regular audits and inspections of rooms and communal areas.
· Train, motivate, and support staff to promote a positive working atmosphere.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
About You
· Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, ideally within a care home or hospitality environment.
· Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
· Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
· Knowledge of health and safety and infection control procedures.
· Friendly, approachable, and compassionate attitude.
