Sports Coach (Netball, Hockey or Athletics)
Location: School-based role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and engaging Sports Coach to deliver high-quality sports enrichment sessions within a school environment. This role is ideal for a coach with experience in Netball, Hockey or Athletics who is passionate about inspiring young people to develop confidence, enjoy being active and build a lifelong love of sport.
You will plan and deliver enjoyable, inclusive sessions for students of varying ages and abilities, creating a positive environment where participation, teamwork and personal development are prioritised.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality sports enrichment sessions during the school day.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities suitable for students of different ages and abilities.
- Use your expertise in Netball, Hockey or Athletics to create enjoyable, progressive sessions.
- Encourage confidence, teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship through sport.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student feels supported to participate.
- Ensure all sessions are delivered safely and in line with safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
- Build positive relationships with school staff, pupils and parents where appropriate.
- Set up and pack away equipment before and after each session.
Essential Requirements
- Coaching experience in Netball, Hockey or Athletics.
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging, inclusive and enjoyable coaching sessions.
- Reliable, professional and well organised.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities when working with children.
Desirable
- Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience delivering sport within primary or secondary schools.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience coaching additional sports.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
