Are you an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver looking for work straight away? Do you hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
Hereford Contract Canning is one of the UK's fastest-growing contract canning businesses, working with many of the country's leading drinks brands. Due to increased customer demand over the summer period, we are looking to recruit a number of Forklift Drivers on an initial 8-week temporary contract, with an immediate start available.
You'll join a friendly, safety-focused team, playing a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials and finished products across our busy production site.
Shift patterns available:
Monday to Friday
- 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00 rotating
- £12.87 per hour + £1.75 per hour shift premium
Continental Panama Shift Pattern
- 06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00 rotating days and nights
- £12.87 per hour + £3.63 per hour shift premium
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently
- Picking and pre-assembling customer orders
- Loading finished goods onto collection vehicles
- Checking loads before despatch to ensure accuracy
- Managing delivery and collection vehicles entering the yard
- Picking raw materials to support production
- Carrying out stock counts and inventory checks
- Using warehouse management systems and barcode scanners
- Maintaining on-site KANBAN systems
- Following all health, safety and quality procedures
What we’re looking for
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Previous forklift driving experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Experience handling oversized or fragile products (desirable)
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Energetic, accurate, and responsible approach to work
- A team player with good communication skills
- Flexible, positive attitude and willingness to learn
