This role is specifically suited to experienced furniture sprayers with a background in high-quality lacquer and paint finishing.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience spraying:
- MDF
- Hardwood and veneered furniture
- Cabinetry
- Bespoke joinery
- High-end furniture
- Luxury manufactured products
Candidates whose experience is limited to automotive bodyshops or industrial steelwork spraying without fine furniture finishing are unlikely to be suitable.
The Opportunity
Broadreach Recruitment is supporting one of the UK's most respected British manufacturers of premium joinery hardware in the search for an experienced Furniture Sprayer to join their manufacturing team on a temporary basis.
The business manufactures handcrafted products renowned worldwide for their engineering quality and exceptional finish. Every cabinet is produced to exacting standards, requiring an individual who takes genuine pride in producing flawless paint and lacquer finishes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled workshop where quality always comes before quantity.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing timber and MDF cabinets for finishing
- Applying primer, lacquer and paint finishes
- Mixing coatings to achieve consistent colour and finish
- Flatting, denibbing and polishing where required
- Inspecting finished products to ensure exceptional quality standards
- Maintaining spray equipment and spray booth cleanliness
- Working closely with production colleagues to achieve delivery schedules
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience as a Furniture Sprayer or Lacquer Sprayer
- Experience spraying high-quality furniture, cabinetry or bespoke joinery
- Knowledge of paint preparation and finishing techniques
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to produce consistently high-quality finishes
- Experience using conventional and/or HVLP spray equipment
Desirable
- Experience with polyester, polyurethane or AC lacquers
- Experience working within furniture, cabinetry or specialist manufacturing
- Polishing and finishing experience
- Ability to colour match and blend finishes
