Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver specialising in event logistics for immediate start. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of equipment and materials to various event locations. This role requires a high level of driving expertise, organisational skills, and adherence to safety regulations. Duties
- Operate HGV vehicles in compliance with legal and company standards
- Transport event equipment, including large or specialised items, to multiple venues across the region
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time whilst maintaining safety and security standards
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues promptly
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are secured correctly for transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all traffic laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with event coordinators and logistics teams to coordinate schedules and deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in event driving
- Knowledge of current road regulations and safety standards within the UK transport industry
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy schedules
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally
