Fantastic opportunity for somebody to work in a fun, friendly yet professional environment providing food for our nursery children.
We are a large, 112 place day nursery for children 3 months - 8 years. Our cook provides the children with a morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and tea, which is prepared in the nursery kitchen and delivered to each room. Our wonderful cook will be going on maternity leave in April and we are looking for somebody to take over from her.
Hours will be 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Duties include:
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised kitchen space
- Preparing afternoon snack for nursery children
- Preparing and cooking tea for nursery children
- Completing required paperwork
- Managing allergies and dietary needs of nursery children
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of food and nutrition, an awareness of how to cater for children with allergies and dietary needs, and will be able to work independently in an efficient and organised manner. Commitment and reliability are essential as we all enjoy working in a stable, well-established team. Support when settling into the role will be provided by our Nursery Manager, who previously started her Bright Start career as our cook and has plenty of experience in our kitchen and is always on hand for advice.
