Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Breakfast and Lunch Cook to join our dynamic culinary team in our family run restaurant. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch meals according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Assist in meal and menu planning, portioning, and presentation to deliver appealing dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Support team members during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Follow proper food handling procedures when storing, reheating, or discarding ingredients
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude towards guests and colleagues.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail in meal presentation and food quality
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques for breakfast and lunch items
- Prior experience in serving or interacting with guests is a plus
Hours are 8am to 3pm Tuesday to Sunday. Later shift also being advertised as a separate position.
