Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering to various locations. This role requires expertise in commercial driving, particularly with Skip/Tipper vehicles, and a passion for providing excellent service as a delivery driver.
Duties
- Operate Trucks safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload Bins / Skips , ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence (C) with a clean driving record. (up to 3 Points)
- Proven experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good physical fitness for loading/unloading cargo and performing vehicle inspections.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Over 25 - for Insurance (younger Drivers may be accepted)
