Painter & Decorator – Social Housing

Hankinson Whittle is seeking experienced Painters & Decorators to join our growing West Midlands team, working with an established social housing client on long-term secured works across Birmingham and the wider Midlands region.

The Role
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, with long-term secure work available for the right candidates.
The role will involve working on both internal and external social housing properties, carrying out painting and decorating works to a high standard.
Price work is also available.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal and external painting and decorating works
- Surface preparation including washdowns and pre-paint repairs
- Applying paints, varnishes, and decorative finishes
- Mixing and matching colours to achieve the required finish
- Using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment effectively
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained correctly
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Painter & Decorator is essential
- Time served or Level 2 qualification in Painting & Decorating is required
- Experience within social housing, painting projects is required
- Full UK driving licence is preferred
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to deliver a consistently high standard of work
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
