Overview
We are an established Nursery Group of over 20 years with nurseries in Worcester Park and Kingston. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Leader for our Toddler Room (18 to 24 months) in Worcester Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dedicated group of children, ensuring their safety, development, and enjoyment within a nurturing environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in childcare and early childhood education to make a positive impact on young lives. The position requires strong leadership skills, along with excellent communication abilities to work effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a designated room of children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and learning
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Support and mentor junior staff members, promoting teamwork and professional development
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding policies
- Contribute to the organisation of the nursery’s daily operations and activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
- Experience working with children with diverse needs is advantageous
- Valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate occasional travel between sites or activities

Pay: £34,500.00-£35,000.00 per year
