HB Tuition Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Tutor to join our friendly team in Warwick.
We’re looking for someone with strong subject knowledge in English, Maths and/or Science who enjoys working with children and young people and can make learning positive, engaging and confidence-building.
The role combines 1:1 tuition at our Warwick tuition centre with the delivery of after-school clubs in local schools.

We provide personalised tuition in a welcoming environment, helping students improve academically while building confidence and independence.
The Role
You will:
- Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition in your specialist subject(s).
- Deliver engaging after-school clubs in local schools.
- Work with students across different ages and abilities.
- Plan sessions around individual student needs.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents and school staff.
- Represent HB Tuition professionally within our partner schools.
Hours & Contract
This is a part-time, term-time contract.
- 8 or 10 contracted hours per week
- 39 working weeks per academic year
- Following Warwickshire County Council school term dates
- Primarily weekday afternoons and evenings
- After-school clubs generally take place immediately after the school day, with 1:1 tuition sessions taking place afterwards.
- No regular working requirement during school holidays.
Specific working days will be agreed with the successful candidate.
What We’re Looking For
We’re particularly interested in candidates with specialist knowledge in:
English | Maths | Science
You don’t need to be a qualified teacher. We’re looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge who can communicate effectively and build positive relationships with young people.
You should be:
- Confident working both 1:1 and with groups of children.
- Patient, encouraging and engaging.
- Reliable and well organised.
- Able to adapt your teaching to different learning styles.
- Passionate about helping young people succeed.
- Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
Previous tutoring, teaching, classroom or educational experience is desirable, as is knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, SATs, 11+ or GCSEs.
