Location: Dominion Print Ltd.
Salary: National Minimum Wage for trainees (higher rates considered for experienced candidates)
Shifts: Rotating shifts (permanent afternoon shift opportunities available after training)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and reliable individual to join our growing finishing team as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to learn new skills, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing high-quality results. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided in-house, making this an ideal role for someone looking to start a career in manufacturing and production. Potential apprenticeships can be discussed.
Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will learn to operate a variety of finishing machinery, including:
- Inline welding machines
- Automatic stitching machines
- Finishing and production equipment
- Various specialist machinery used throughout our manufacturing process
You will be involved in producing work for well-known brands and retailers including B&Q, KFC, JD Sports, M&S, Co-op, and many more.
A Varied and Engaging Role
While this is a manufacturing and production-based position, this is not repetitive production line work. You will be trained across a wide range of machinery, products, and finishing processes, ensuring no two days are exactly the same. The role offers plenty of variety, opportunities to learn new skills, and the chance to work on different projects for some of the UK's most recognisable brands.
What We're Looking For
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Hardworking and reliable
- Quick learner with a willingness to develop new skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to quality and safety standards
Career Progression
We believe in developing our people and offer clear progression opportunities:
Trainee Finishing Operative → Finishing Operative → Senior Finishing Operative
This vacancy is primarily aimed at trainee-level applicants; however, candidates with relevant finishing, manufacturing, production, or machinery-operating experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants who can demonstrate the required skills and experience may be considered for appointment directly at Finishing Operative level, with salary and responsibilities reflecting their experience.
Additional Information
- Rotating shift pattern
- Opportunity to move onto permanent afternoon shifts once fully trained
- Full in-house training provided
- Friendly and supportive working environment
- Long-term career development opportunities
Recruitment Process
We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible. For the final shortlisted candidates, we may offer a paid trial shift to help determine suitability for the role and to give candidates an opportunity to experience the role firsthand.
If you're looking for a long-term career opportunity where you can learn new skills, work with modern machinery, develop your career, and become part of a successful and growing team, we'd love to hear from you.
