Reporting directly to our Finance Manager, we are looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to support our Accounts Team, so if you have experience working as a Sales Ledger Clerk (or similar), excellent attention to detail and communication skills – we want to hear from you!

Job description
Working as a Sales Ledger Clerk based at our modern head office in Ellesmere Port, you will be proactive and a key support to the team. The role will be to facilitate the UK and EU accounts for the Group, liaising with external providers and internal departments as needed.
Duties:
- Post and reconcile customer receipts for international group of companies
- Raise and issue Customer Invoices
- Process and respond to customer queries in line with company policies
- Review and set up new customer accounts as required
- Produce Aged Debtor Reports
- Raise and distribute customer statements
- Handle inbound telephone enquiries with professionalism and efficiency
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing queries promptly
- Review returns and raise credit notes in line with company policy
- Other ad-hoc duties as requiredDesirable skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work methodically while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Able to work independently to meet deadlines
- Able to work and communicate as part of a team to meet company objectives
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/ Office programmes
- Experience working within Sage/ similar accounting systems
- Experience/ exposure to manufacturing / ERP systems
