Housekeeper – The Snug, Glasgow - Etive Estate
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Housekeeper to take responsibility for the cleaning and presentation of The Snug in Glasgow - our city stopover property for guests travelling to and from Etive Estate and the Scottish Highlands.
The Snug is a busy guest property, so we are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and can consistently prepare it to an excellent standard between stays.
The Role
You will be responsible for preparing the property between guest departures and arrivals, making sure everything is clean, fresh, fully stocked and ready for the next guests.
The role will primarily involve working independently, so we need someone dependable who can manage their time well and spot anything that needs attention.
Your Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing the entire property between guest stays.
- Changing beds and preparing fresh linen.
- Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and living areas to a high standard.
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and general housekeeping.
- Replenishing toiletries, guest supplies and other essentials.
- Checking the property carefully before each arrival.
- Reporting breakages, damage or maintenance issues promptly.
- Identifying when additional or deep cleaning is required.
- Keeping housekeeping supplies organised and letting us know when stock is running low.
- Taking used bed linen and towels to the local laundry, approximately a 2-minute walk from the property.
- Collecting clean, dried linen from the laundry and returning it to The Snug ready for the next changeover.
What We’re Looking For
Previous professional housekeeping or cleaning experience is essential.
You will also need:
- An excellent eye for detail.
- High standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Reliability and good timekeeping.
- The ability to work independently without supervision.
- A friendly, positive and trustworthy attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- A good level of mobility and physical fitness, as the role involves making beds, bending, carrying linen and supplies, vacuuming, walking linen to and from the laundry, and being on your feet throughout the clean.
- Flexibility to work around guest check-ins and check-outs, including some weekends.
