Residential Care Worker (Children’s)
Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire
Salary: £13.80 per hour + sleep-in payments + excellent overtime rate

The Role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting young people with daily life in their homes. Every day is different, but your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day care in a safe, homely, and therapeutic environment.
- Supporting young people with daily routines, such as getting ready for school and preparing balanced meals.
- Encouraging hobbies, social activities, and friendships, and helping them learn new skills.
- Building meaningful relationships based on trust, stability, and care.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to contribute to care plans.
- Promoting personal growth, development, and independence.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone caring, reliable, and passionate about making a difference.
You’ll need:
- A full UK manual driving licence (essential for taking young people to school, activities, and appointments).
- The ability to be a positive role model and build strong, trusting relationships.
- Genuine compassion and empathy for young people in care.
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
- A willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce (if not already held).
