Van Delivery Driver – Plant & Tool Hire in Crowborough

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Delivery Driver to join our team, delivering and collecting plant, machinery, tools and equipment to and from customer sites.
This is a hands-on role and would suit someone who is practical, organised and comfortable dealing directly with customers on construction sites and at our depot.
Main Duties
- Delivering plant, tools and equipment to construction sites and customers.
- Collecting hired equipment and returning it to the depot.
- Loading and unloading the van safely.
- Securing all plant and equipment correctly for transport.
- Carrying out basic checks on equipment before delivery and on collection.
- Completing delivery and collection paperwork.
- Checking that the correct equipment is delivered to the correct customer/site.
- Reporting any damage, faults or missing items when equipment is collected.
- Keeping the van clean, tidy and roadworthy.
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers.
- Assisting in the yard when required.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous van delivery experience preferred.
- Experience within plant hire, tool hire, construction or a similar industry would be an advantage.
- Must be confident loading, unloading and securing plant and equipment.
- Good knowledge of the local area would be beneficial.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit, as the role involves loading and handling tools and equipment.
- Must take pride in looking after company vehicles and equipment.
Training will be provided on our plant, tools and delivery procedures where required.
