Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team.
Hours of work are 5 days per week (including Weekends, from 10am to 4pm.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a focus on creating high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your cooking talents and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant kitchen or restaurant experience who are dedicated to maintaining food safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in the preparation of other menu items as required, including meal preparation and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold hygiene standards within the kitchen environment
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, especially pizza making, with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in serving customers or working directly with guests is advantageous but not essential
- A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and dedication to delivering high-quality food service
