Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Family Assistant / Nanny-Housekeeper to provide comprehensive support to a busy household in Nairn. This full-time role involves caring for children, managing household tasks, and ensuring the smooth running of daily routines. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to managing household needs while maintaining a warm and professional demeanour. Experience in hospitality, management, or customer service is highly desirable, alongside strong IT and computer literacy skills.
Responsibilities
- Providing attentive childcare and engaging children in educational and recreational activities outwith school hours.
- Assisting with daily routines such as meal preparation, dressing, and organising activities
- Managing household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and general organisation of the home
- Coordinating appointments, schedules, and errands to ensure efficient household management
- Maintaining effective communication with family members regarding daily updates and needs
- Utilising Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other IT tools to organise schedules, create reports, or manage correspondence
- Ensuring the household environment remains welcoming and well-maintained
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role as a nanny, housekeeper, or family assistant is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy household setting
- Proven management or leadership experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
- Background in hospitality or customer service roles will be considered a plus
- Ability to work independently with initiative while maintaining attention to detail
