Feraus is a growing specialist fire door contractor delivering high-quality installation, maintenance and remedial works across the residential and student accommodation sectors.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Fire Door Joiner to join our expanding team on an ongoing project in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, with opportunities for future work as our project portfolio continues to grow.

What you will be doing:
- Installing FD30 and FD60 fire doors and complete doorsets in accordance with manufacturer instructions and current fire door standards.
- Carrying out fire door maintenance and remedial works to existing installations.
- Installing and replacing hinges, locks, latches, closers, ironmongery, intumescent strips and smoke seals.
- Completing re-lipping, door adjustments and minor frame alterations where required.
- Working within residential properties and student accommodation.
- Delivering work to a consistently high standard while ensuring compliance with current fire safety regulations.
- Logging completed works, photographs and documentation using our OneTrace system.
- Communicating professionally with clients, site managers and colleagues throughout each project.
What you will bring:
- Proven experience installing and remediating fire doors.
- Ability to install complete fire doorsets independently.
- Fire door inspection and/or survey experience.
- Good understanding of current fire door regulations and best practice.
- Own van capable of transporting fire doors.
- Own tools.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Confident using mobile apps to log completed work and upload photographs using OneTrace.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when working with clients and site teams.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently from day one.
Desirable
- BM TRADA or FIRAS experience.
- Experience using OneTrace.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery.
- DBS Certificate.

This role is suitable for experienced fire door joiners only. Applicants must have previous experience carrying out fire door installations, inspections, surveys and remedial works independently and must provide their own van and tools.
