Pharmacy Assistant
Dickies Pharmacy is a well-established, independent, family-run business with six locations across Aberdeen, as well as branches in Forfar and Perth. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care and service to our local communities.
We are currently looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Dispensing and assembling prescriptions accurately
· Labelling prescriptions
· Providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone/email
· Offering advice and selling over-the-counter products
· Supporting services such as Smoking Cessation, Pharmacy First Scotland, and Medicines Care and Review (MCR)
· Managing stock levels, checking expiry dates, and organising deliveries
· Supervising the consumption of medication on the premises
Essential Attributes:
· Friendly, approachable, and professional
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
· Previous customer service experience
· Good computer skills
· A proactive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
Additional Information:
· Additional hours may be available to cover staff holidays
· Full training will be provided
· Opportunities for progression may be available for the right candidate
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
