As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Customer Service & Sales Administrator to join our team and provide essential support to our sales and administration functions.
The Role
This is a varied office-based position that plays an important role in the day-to-day running of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling incoming calls, processing orders, supporting customer enquiries and assisting the sales team with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone calls and transfer them to the appropriate department.
- Take accurate messages and ensure they are passed on promptly.
- Process e-commerce orders accurately and efficiently.
- Raise and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding purchase orders and order status where required.
- Deal with customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Chase outstanding pro-forma invoices and quotations.
- Maintain accurate customer, supplier and order records.
- Provide general administrative support to the sales and office teams.
- Assist with other office duties as required.
Hours & Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Full-time, permanent position
- Salary: £26,500 per annum
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have excellent communication and telephone skills.
- Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Possess strong attention to detail.
- Be confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Be proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
- Have previous administration, sales support or office experience (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous but is not essential.
