Requirements (Essential / Preferred)
- Level 3 Early Years / Childcare Diploma (full & relevant)
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED standards
- Minimum 2 years’ nursery experience (1+ year as Room Leader preferred)
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication, organisation and safeguarding knowledge
- Understanding of SEN, equal opportunities and inclusive practice
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at Purple Jay Nurseries. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to grow within the early years sector while leading, supporting and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding care and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Key Person for assigned children
- Lead observations, assessments and planning in line with EYFS
- Maintain high standards of practice, environment and resources
- Support children through room transitions
- Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Mentor and support staff development within the room
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are consistently followed
- Work closely with management on training, supervisions and appraisals
- Maintain professional relationships with external agencies where required
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed at all times

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,500.00 per year
