We are looking for a skilled Individual to join our small team of vintage and historic vehicle restorers. We are searching for a Vehicle Paint Technician to play a vital role in restoring vehicles to a top quality finish. You will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicles with precision and care. Your expertise will help ensure each vehicle leaves looking flawless and meets the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working on high end or classic vehicles, be able to manage their own jobs and ideally be able to take on pricing and job scheduling.
Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Perform prep work on hand made bespoke panels
- Use our paint colour match and mix system to accurately mix paint
- Ability to use digital matching equipment
- Work with a variety of paints Including Water bourne, Cellulose and Two pack
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain painting tools and machinery
- Lift heavy vehicle parts safely during preparation and painting processes, adhering to safety protocols
- Follow all safety guidelines and environmental regulations related to paint application and disposal
- Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, brushes, and masking tape applicators
- Experience using power tools including spray guns, drills, or sanders is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Pay: £32,600.00-£40,000.00 per year
