Hourly Rate: £12.21
Hours per week: 15hrs
Hours of Work vary between: 8am – 5.30pm
Days of Work vary between: Monday to Friday may include evening and weekends

We require Support Workers with:
To work with the people that you are paid to support to enable them to lead as independent and fulfilling lives as possible.
- Experience of supporting clients to increase their independent living skills.
- A caring, person centered, enabling and positive approach.
- Flexible approach and willing to work unsociable hours.
- A full valid UK driving licence is desirable.
- Bilingual- Urdu or Punjabi speakers.
- I.T Skills
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.

Main duties and responsibilities:
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, proactive people to join our team. As a Support Worker your role will include supporting people with profound learning disabilities and physical disabilities to live their lives to the fullest. Some of the tasks you will support with include: - Personal Care - Eating & Drinking - Accessing social groups and community events - Engaging in meaningful, enriching activities at the centre -Escorting picking up and dropping off service users We believe in quality of life, for life, at Khidmat centre so we want to hear from people who truly believe in making a positive impact on the lives of the people we support. Essential Criteria
At least 6 months' experience as a personal assistant in a personal, voluntary, or paid capacity. Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health needs. Experience writing reports on service users. Good general level of education with basic numeracy and literacy skills. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Willingness to undertake all relevant training required by Khidmat Centre. Knowledge of the diverse communities and cultural/family settings within the Bradford district. Understanding of disability, culture, and the impact disability has on people's lives. Knowledge of the social model of disability. Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and unsociable hours as required (24/7 service). Able to work in clients' homes, the community, and other agreed locations. No criminal record that would make you unsuitable to work with vulnerable adults. Eligible to work in the UK. Honest, trustworthy, friendly, and approachable. Good sense of humour and a non-judgemental attitude. Able to accept responsibility and maintain confidentiality. Committed to the organisation's values and objectives. Desirable Criteria
Paid or voluntary experience in a care setting supporting people with learning disabilities. Experience in moving and handling. Relevant care qualification (above the essential requirement). Training in: Multi-Cultural Awareness Anti-Oppressive Practice Disability Awareness Manual Handling Child Protection Adult Protection First Aid GDPR Medication Administration Epilepsy Awareness Knowledge of local voluntary and statutory organisations providing leisure and social activities. Full UK driving licence. Ability to speak a South Asian language.
