Duties
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients to assist with food preparation and cooking processes
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Assist with dishwashing duties, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and cookware are sanitized and ready for use
- Support the storage of food items according to safety standards and proper rotation procedures
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment
- Restock supplies and ensure all cleaning stations are well-equipped for ongoing operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is highly desirable but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Basic understanding of food preparation, cooking processes, and kitchen hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
