Lead Engineer – Didcot
We are currently recruiting for a Lead Engineer to join a well-established facilities management contract based in Didcot. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take the next step into a lead role within a stable and professional environment.
Salary: £48,000 per annum
Location: Didcot
Key responsibilities:

Leading and supporting the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across building services systems

Overseeing work on plant and equipment including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and electrical systems where required

Carrying out complex fault finding, diagnosis, and repair across mechanical and/or electrical systems

Undertaking and supervising plumbing, mechanical, and electrical maintenance works as required

Completing plant room inspections and ensuring optimal performance of all building services systems

Supporting junior engineers and ensuring high standards of workmanship across the team

Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and site procedures

Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activity, compliance, and reporting through CAFM systems
Requirements:

Strong background in mechanical or electrical building services or facilities maintenance
-
Previous experience in a senior or lead engineer role (or ready to step up into one)

Solid understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial environments

Experience working with HVAC systems, pumps, plant equipment, and/or electrical systems

Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications (desirable)

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Must be able to pass a basic DBS check
