Job Overview
To provide a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained living environment for student residents during weekends. The role acts as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, contractors, and emergency services while ensuring the smooth operation of the accommodation.Key ResponsibilitiesResident Support
- Act as the first point of contact for resident enquiries and concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist residents with day-to-day accommodation matters.
- Support student wellbeing by responding appropriately to welfare concerns and escalating when necessary.
- Handle parcel collection and key management procedures.
Building Security & Safety
- Conduct regular building patrols and security checks.
- Monitor access control systems and ensure only authorised persons enter the property.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with company procedures.
- Report health and safety issues, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
Facilities & Operations
- Carry out routine inspections of communal areas.
- Ensure common spaces remain clean, tidy, and presentable.
- Log maintenance issues and coordinate with contractors or maintenance teams where required.
- Assist with room inspections and check-ins/check-outs when needed.
Administration
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, maintenance reports, and resident interactions.
- Update handover notes for weekday teams.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and GDPR requirements.
Community Engagement
- Foster a positive community atmosphere.
- Support weekend resident activities and events where applicable.
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office and property management systems).
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond to emergencies appropriately.
Desirable
- Experience in student accommodation, hospitality, residential property, or customer-facing roles.
- First Aid qualification.
