Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Follow individual care plans accurately to meet each client's specific needs
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Document care activities accurately using IT systems or paper records
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
