Due to continued growth and the award of a major project, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join our team on an initial 12-month contract, with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent position upon successful completion of the project.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a major construction project valued in excess of £10 million.
You will ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards, whilst maintaining excellent relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day site operations from commencement through to completion.
- Lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver project objectives.
- Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and current legislation.
- Develop, monitor and manage construction programmes using Procore, SharePoint or similar project management software.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to maximise productivity.
- Chair site meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management and clients.
- Carry out regular Health & Safety inspections, toolbox talks and site audits.
- Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, Building Regulations and quality standards.
- Identify programme risks and implement mitigation measures to minimise delays.
- Monitor project costs and resource allocation to support successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate site records including RAMS, permits, inspections, progress reports and site diaries.
- Work closely with commercial, design and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for a confident leader with excellent organisational and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.
Essential
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager delivering projects valued at £10 million+.
- Extensive experience working for a Principal Contractor.
- SMSTS.
- Black CSCS Card (Management Level).
- First Aid at Work.
- Strong understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating complex programmes.
- Proficient in Procore, SharePoint and Microsoft Office, excel.
- Strong planning, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor qualification.
- Experience working on high-rise residential or commercial developments.
- Knowledge of JCT Contracts.
- Scaffold awareness and temporary works experience.
- Fire safety and Building Safety Act knowledge.
- NVQ Level 6 or 7 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent).
