The apprentice will work closely alongside the childminder at Patter Place, supporting the day-to-day care, learning and development of children in a warm, nurturing and welcoming childcare environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience across all areas of early years. You will support the planning and delivery of fun, age-appropriate activities, encourage children's learning and development, support daily routines and help create a safe, stimulating environment where children can feel confident and thrive.
As Patter Place continues to grow, the apprentice will become an important part of the setting, working closely with the childminder and developing positive relationships with children and their families. You will gain experience of working in a smaller, more personal childcare environment while developing your confidence, knowledge and practical skills throughout your apprenticeship.
Day-Day Responsibilities:
- Support the childminder with the day-to-day care, wellbeing and supervision of children.
- Help plan and provide fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.
- Encourage children's curiosity, confidence, independence and social development through play and everyday activities.
- Support children with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care, rest periods and outdoor play.
- Build warm, positive and professional relationships with children, families and other professionals.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, welcoming and stimulating childcare environment.
- Support the childminder with observations and recording children's development and progress.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and other setting policies and procedures.
- Assist with preparing resources and activities to meet the individual needs and interests of the children.
- Work as part of the team to provide a high standard of care and create positive experiences for every child.
Monday to Friday: 10.30AM to 3.30PM
Pay: £10,400.00 per year
