Cover People are partnering with a thriving secondary school in Levenshulme to appoint an engaging DT Teacher for September 2026. The school is looking for a teacher who can equip students with the practical, technical and creative skills needed to solve real-world problems and prepare them for future careers.
You'll join a department that encourages innovation, independent thinking and hands-on learning. Students are encouraged to design, create, evaluate and refine their ideas while developing resilience and confidence through practical experiences.
The Role:
- Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Deliver engaging lessons across your specialist DT area while supporting the wider curriculum
- Develop students' design, manufacturing and evaluation skills through practical projects
- Maintain a safe, organised and stimulating workshop environment
- Track student progress and contribute to raising attainment across the department

What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level
- Ability to inspire students through practical, engaging lessons
- Excellent classroom and workshop management skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning
All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay where applicable.
