At Stepping Stone Projects, we do more than provide accommodation—we empower people to move on from homelessness and live independently. Our work is fast-paced and rewarding, and we’re looking for a Housing Management Officer to join our Blackburn services and make a meaningful impact.
About the role
You’ll deliver a high-quality, site-based housing management service, supporting customers with a wide range of needs to successfully manage their tenancies and move forward into independent accommodation.
Working across one of our supported housing schemes, you’ll take a proactive approach to tenancy management, property standards, and customer engagement—ensuring safe, well-managed environments where people can rebuild their lives.
What you’ll be doing

Delivering proactive tenancy management, supporting customers to meet their obligations and sustain their accommodation

Managing rent accounts, minimising arrears, and supporting customers with benefits and income maximisation

Leading on void management—ensuring properties are turned around quickly and ready for new residents

Carrying out sign-ups, tenancy checks, and property inspections

Maintaining high standards of health & safety and facilities management across the schemes

Working closely with internal teams and external agencies to support positive customer outcomes

Keeping accurate records and contributing to performance reporting
About you
You’ll be confident, organised, and passionate about supporting people to succeed. You’re comfortable balancing people-focused work with the operational demands of housing management.
We’re particularly keen to hear from you if you:

You have experience in providing housing management, housing related support, care and support, or housing advice in housing management

You have a versatile, flexible and co-operative approach to work

You demonstrate a diplomatic and non-judgmental approach

You have the skill to frequently operating computerised administrative and office systems and software packages

You have the ability to deliver housing-related support and to manage and act as a key worker to a case load of client

You have the ability to manage time effectively, prioritise work and meet deadlines

Full UK Drivers Licence, with daily access to a reliable vehicle
