Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and prompt service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies at all times.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system effectively.
- Monitor guest intoxication levels and refuse service when appropriate, prioritising safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Oversee all daily bar operations
- Lead, train, and motivate bar staff
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Manage stock control, ordering, and monitoring, delivering
- Ensure cellar management, line cleaning, and product quality
- Maintain compliance with uk licencing laws, challenge 25, and health & safety regulations
- Handle cash management, till reconciliation, and reporting
- Support recruitment, staff scheduling and perfomance management
- Drive sales through promotions, events, and upselling
- Maintain a welcoming, community-focused pub atmosphere
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service is preferred.
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
- Good organisational abilities to keep the bar area clean and well-stocked.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
