This role provides operational leadership across two CQC-registered Learning Disability services in Birmingham.
23 Trittiford Road, Yardley Wood is home to 6 adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs. Its location provides excellent opportunities for individuals to engage with their local community, promoting inclusion, independence and meaningful participation with the support of a dedicated and experienced staff team.
Hightrees supports 5 men with Learning Disabilities and complex needs in a person-centred environment that focuses on developing life skills, increasing independence, promoting choice, and building confidence and self-esteem. The service empowers individuals to achieve positive outcomes and live fulfilling lives.
As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for both services, ensuring they consistently deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations.
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our Learning Disabilities services in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated leader with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, person-centred care while ensuring full compliance with CQC standards.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of both services, leading your teams to deliver outstanding support for people with Learning Disabilities. You will be accountable for service quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, occupancy, and achieving positive outcomes for the people we support.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Current or previous experience as a Registered Manager within a CQC-regulated service.
- A minimum of 2 years management experience within adult social care.
- Significant experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs.
- A strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards, Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs), and regulatory compliance.
- Experience leading services to achieve and maintain high CQC standards.
- Experience managing staff teams, driving performance, and promoting a positive, person-centred culture.
- Experience managing services funded through Local Authority and Continuing Healthcare (CHC).
- Budget management and financial accountability experience.
- A relevant Health & Social Care qualification (Level 4/QCF Level 4 or above, or equivalent).
- A full UK driving licence (or the ability to travel between services), business insurance, and willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
- Lead and manage two Learning Disability services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all CQC regulations, quality standards and best practice.
- Prepare for and successfully manage CQC inspections, ensuring both services remain inspection-ready at all times.
- Monitor and improve quality, compliance, safeguarding and service performance.
- Lead, develop, motivate and support staff to deliver exceptional care and positive outcomes.
- Manage budgets, occupancy and financial performance to achieve commercial and social objectives.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Service to develop services in line with commissioning priorities and changing customer needs.
- Build strong relationships with families, professionals, commissioners and external stakeholders.
- Participate in locality projects and contribute to wider organisational initiatives.
- Participate in the out-of-hours management rota and work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends where required.
You ll be an experienced, confident Registered Manager with a passion for delivering exceptional support to people with Learning Disabilities. You will bring strong CQC knowledge, proven leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple services while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and person-centred care. Most importantly, you ll be committed to enabling the people we support to live fulfilling, independent lives and achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.
