Job purpose
The purpose of this role is champion to drive environmental performance, support sustainability targets, and strengthen ESG reporting across construction projects. The role will provide site level leadership for waste reduction, carbon management, environmental compliance, and workforce engagement.
Main duties
Key Duties
· Conduct environmental inspections
· Monitor waste management and recycling performance
· Support carbon reduction initiatives
· Monitor plant energy and fuel consumption
· Deliver sustainability toolbox talks
· Support ESG data collection and reporting
· Promote biodiversity protection and environmental awareness
· Support site S106 and social value projects
KPI’s
· Waste diversion rate improvement
· Reduction in site fuel consumption
· Number of sustainability initiatives delivered
· Environmental inspections completed
· Workforce sustainability engagement levels
· Completeness of sustainability reporting data

Qualifications
Degree level qualification in Environmental Sciences (Essential)
Sustainable Built Environments, Energy & Resources (BSc/MEng) (Desirable)
Experience
2 years post-grad workplace experience (Essential)
2+ years experiment in a construction or construction related organisation (Desirable)
