Overview
We are seeking a skilled 360 excavator operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, experience operating 360-degree excavators, and a valid commercial driving licence. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision and efficiency in excavation tasks. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating heavy machinery safely and effectively to support various construction activities.
Duties
- Operate 360-degree excavators to perform digging, lifting, and material handling tasks with accuracy and safety
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site preparation, grading, and trenching as required by project specifications
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to minimise risks on site
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and equipment usage
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to supervisors
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance
- Valid commercial driving licence (or equivalent) recognised in the UK
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to heavy machinery operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Relevant certifications or training in heavy machinery operation is desirable but not essential
