A&S are a friendly and family run business, that caters for specialist transportation requirements across all areas of industry. Based in Morley (Leeds), we pride ourselves on providing a safe, speedy, and reliable service with competitive prices. We currently have a great opportunity to join our team as an HGV Class 1 Driver.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all delivery and collection records are accurately maintained.
- Loading and unloading of vehicles in a safe manner and always maintaining security.
- Complying with all driver hours and RTD legislation.
- Complying with health & safety requirements on site and on the road.
- Carrying out daily vehicle defect checks and report any faults to the Transport Manager.
- Ensuring that all appropriate PPE is used as required.
- Communicating effectively with the operations team and representing the company in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- Tipper experience (Experience working with scrap metal / recycling is advantageous).
- Flat trailer experience with the ability to rope and sheet loads.
- HGV Class 1 licence.
- Flexible and adaptable. (Nights out required)
- Valid CPC & Tachograph Card.
Additional information:
- Monday to Friday with some overnight stays. Start and finish times may vary.
- 20-day holiday per annum + Bank Holidays.
- Free on-site park at the depot.
